Selected as "Special Jury Prize" at 「TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM FILM 2019」

Our director, Jo Motoyo(TOKYO) won the “Special Jury Award” at “TSUTAYA CREATORS 'PROGRAM FILM 2019” which is a movie ideas competition sponsored by Culture Entertainment Co.,Ltd. and TSUTAYA Co., Ltd.

「My Growth Journal (provisional)」

<SYNOPSIS>
A young girl named Yonchin started to keep her own growth diary at the age of 5 when her mother vanished. When she was 17, she got pregnant and gave birth to a life. This is a story about her small and dramatic dairy life.

From this year, 3 entry categories were newly set up, "Planning", "Screenplay" and "Direction." Among over 600 entries, 3 works, one from each category, was selected as "Special Jury Prize" and based on those winning ideas three movies will be produced with TSUTAYA's support.

< About "TSUTAYA CREATORS' PROGRAM " >
It is a program founded in 2015 by Culture Entertainment and TSUTAYA to find and discover talented creators and fine film ideas. There is no required conditions such as ages, nationalities, and experiences for this competition and anyone can enter movie ideas which people really want to watch. Winning ideas will be produced as movies with TSUTAYA's financial and production support.

After working as a photographer even before she had graduated from the prestigious Musashino Art University, Jo has proven her worth time and again as a director and artist. She is also our in-house polyglot, speaking Japanese, English and Chinese.
